My daughter is 6 years old, I ordered a size 6-7. It fits slightly big, which is good bcz then we can add a layer underneath, if Halloween weather is cold.The skirt has a lace layer and a satin layer. The satin is soft and decently thick. The bodice of the dress is made from a velvet like material.Overall, both my daughter and I love this costume/dress!This dress is gorgeous! The fabric quality is stunning.
